Comments:
I recently finished "Roots" by Alex Haley, as read by Avery Brooks. This was a disturbing yet engrossing story, brought to life by Avery Brooks. Mr. Brooks, through his superb reading, brought these characters to life. I was thoroughly absorbed in this book, from start to finish, and it made me very emotional to think that this was an accurate depiction of this time in our nation's history. Mr. Brooks, you did an excellent job with an excellent book. My only request - read more books, please! Debbie
